We have two boys and they have spent hours playing games in the trees out back, playing street hockey, lacrosse, tag, riding bikes and generally just having a great time with all the other kids in the neighborhood. The neighborhood is very quiet, private, and safe. I can’t say enough about our neighbors and the Woodwinds neighborhood. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Both of our boys loved their schools here. Our youngest attends Scott Highland Middle School and our oldest goes to Eastview High School. They are rated in the top schools in the state, the programs they offer are incredible, and the teaching staff has been fantastic. The house plan has worked very well for our family. The boys enjoy having friends over and watching movies and playing foosball downstairs, providing some separation and privacy. The downstairs storage room under the garage is a great room. First, we have more storage space than we could ever use, but also, our kids spent tons of time down there shooting pucks and listening to music. It was there getaway, and best of all it was soundproof, and they couldn’t scratch the walls with their sports equipment. One of our favorite things to do was to sit in the living room watching the birds and the squirrels in the trees. The back view is incredible, and it feels we live out in the forest. We enjoy the private fire pit, and the great deck in the back, complete with a Hot Tub. It is a great place to relax and unwind. Should future owners desire a back yard, the lot is large enough to easily accommodate it. Our favorite room in our home is the kitchen. We can all be in there visiting, cooking, working on homework, reading a book by the fire and there is plenty of room for everyone. We love to entertain, so the open kitchen is a super place to cook and still be part of the action and with our guests. While we are happy to be moving closer to our family in Canada, we will miss our Apple Valley home and neighborhood very much. It is very hard to leave this beautiful home, and great community.
